I Am 17 Years Old With Type 1 Diabetes

I am 17 years old and I have diabetes mellitus type I. At first when I found out I was very upset and it was hard to do pretty much anything. That is the thing with a disease, sometimes you are just better off not knowing. When the doctor said that there wasn't really a cure for it and that I'd have to take insulin shots, I told myself I would just have to cope with it. That was when I was 14, but since then I am much healthier and I take my shots daily with ease. Sometimes it can be problematic to deal with the disease, but I am just grateful to have my health.
