Today my NLD is under control
by: Jean

I've had necrobiosis lipoidica for 12 yrs. I also went though a 2 & 1/2 yr. period dealing with squamous cell cancers on the ulcerated areas. Two years ago I was tested for a gluten allergy, which came back positive.
Today my NLD is under control - no ulcerations, no inflammation, no cancers, no sensitivity to touch, AND a return to a somewhat normal looking skin.
I must do 3 things to achieve this degree of normalcy - stay off gluten, take Oracea, and take Plaquenil (both meds prescribed by my dermatologist at NYU medical center in NYC.
FYI I am not a diabetic.
I hope this info helps you.
Good Luck.
