Taco Plate Healthy Recipe

Taco Plate


1 pound lean hamburger

1 packet taco seasoning ( we like Taco Bell Brand, it's under $1.00 @ Marsh and Wal-mart)

1 bag shredded lettuce (or you can shred your own)

1 bag 2% cheese shredded (taco blend is the best)

1 can chopped tomatoes with green chilies

1 jar of salsa ( mild, medium or hot)

1 jar of taco sauce

1 container of Fat Free sour cream

sometimes chopped green onions

Brown hamburger and drain. Follow instructions for taco seasoning packet. On a plate: Layer lettuce then seasoned meat, then cheese, tomatoes with chilies, salsa, taco sauce, green onions and then fat-free sour cream. My son, likes to use flour tortillas instead of taco shells and makes "soft" tacos. I can't have the tortillas, but really don't miss them with this recipe. Sorry I don't know the nutritional facts. I make this at least once a week!
