I have had chronic pancreatitis for over 20 yrs. now & after many hospital stays and a few operations, had not developed diabetes until recently. I guess the ole pancreas is just worn out. The big problem is that I don't think my doctor realizes that I have Type 1 diabetes ... he acts like its nothing urgent. I was just told I have diabetes last Monday, was given nothing for it & don't have another appt. with him until this coming monday. Hope I can stay awake till then because I'm getting slower and slower, pee all night and day, eat everything in sight and sleep the rest of the time. I have no idea how to take care of myself till then and I'm getting a little nervous. Today is Thursday so what should I do until Monday??? I'd appreciate any advice, Draggin' "A" in Utah
