Marinated Fish Steaks

Marinate 20 min, broil 8 min, makes 4 serv. 1 pound fresh or frozen salmon, swordfish, or halibat


2 tablesp. lime juice or lemon juice

1 tablesp. fresh oregano or thyme, or 1\2 teaspoon dried oregano or thyme

2 tablesp. olive oil ( 1 for fish, 1 for salad)

1 teasp. lemon-pepper seasoning

2 cloves garlic, minced

4 lime wedges

2-3 cups red leaf lettuce or leaf lettuce, or iceberg lettuce with spinach (cut)

Rinse fish steaks, cut into 4. For marinade, in a shallow dish combine lime juice, oregano, oil, garlic, lemon-pepper seasoning. Add fish. Cover and marinate in refrigerator for 20 min or more. Place fish on the greased unheated rack of a broiler pan. Broil 4 inches from the heat for 8 - 12 minutes, turning once and brushing with reserved marinade halfway through cooking. Discard any remaining marinade. Before serving, squeeze the juice from one lime wedge over each piece plus salad (lettuce with spinach) squeeze 1 tablesp. olive oil and a little bit of salt. Enjoy!
